Technical snapped key barrel

hi guys

my gf was just removing the dash from her project seicento and as caught the ingnition barrel and snapped it clean off anybody know if this is gonna be a easy fix or expensive fix lol

What's broken, the barrel or the key in the barrel? And where? Pics would really help.

Also, is it MPI or SPI, the Sei...............

I didnt pull it that hard lol its the actual barrel, there was no key in at the time thank god, basically it looks like ive snapped it at a join or something
Looking at the half thats snapped off now and there is a pin thats about 3cm long that looks like it goes between the half i have in my hand and the half thats still attached to the car my boyfriend (jay) says he can still start the car with a screwdriver as long as the key is by the transponder but this is far from ideal lol, Im hoping it wont be expensive as its a big project im undertaking and could do without the extra cost

If it's the plastic, it might be possible to glue it back together again. Let's wait till we see the pics. Failing that, you could get a barrel with a key from a scrappy and tie the old key to the transponder cable. A bit awkward, but much easier and cheaper than a new lock set.

yeah the plastic can be glued but its the barrel where i get confused

i have put the key in and pressed the button under neath the plastic and pulled the whole lot out and the undone the circlip so now i have got 2 parts the part where the key goes in

and the part that goes into the black plastic bit and as a pin on the end which turns inside i need this bit not the part where the key goes lol

am waiting for a parts breakdown from fioat at the moment
