A GSR seems to be a very expensive 'stop-gap'...methinks there is something smelling of fishies here...
Yeah i know they are and i plan to use my GSR after my airbox is repaired.

Well you have done/admitted to a number of things that a dealer may use in rejecting your claim. And what is that suppost to mean ?
Awesome isn't it. Plenty of evidence for them to reject his claim now :worship: A lot of the main dealers Fiat tech's come on this forum.
Unless he thought he was just being 'hard' saying he smoked his tyres in 4,000 miles.
a quick look at the tire walls inside and out for bulges or tears can be the difference between a replacement tire or a Pine box
I wouldn't normally entertain that kind of thing, but there is something satisfying about going back into a busy shop and presenting them with proof in front of customers to the effect that they were trying to rip you off. It has a kind of "stick that up your ar5e" effect really.
for one im not talking crap! two. within 3 days of having the car the black glue on the air box started to seperate. 4. i reported it to fiat & they said they cant do nothing but book me in for a repair. this all happend before i got my GSR. and tbh i aint that stupid to remove 2 bolts & a few clips. so how can i break it?
Lets just hope for your sake and that of your warranty that Glyn Hopkin of Milton Keynes dont have any members of staff on FF then ey!
Theres quite a few DET's on here, and a few I know of that read FF but dont show themselves.

Well I never. I've missed all this fascinating stuff, and now it looks as if it's over.
Not like you...and with all that popcorn in the cupboard just waiting![]()
Andy Monty I do check my vehicle regularly, which is why it was at ATS in the first placeAnd if I didn't care for it, why would I take it for an aircon service and have some ATS bloke check something for me?
I check my oil regularly, replace the windscreen wipers like they're going out of fashion and I even check all my lights occasionally (the back ones are fun as some cars don't give quite the necessary reflection).
The car even gets premium fuel more often than not... And I also have all my cars serviced regularly.
It's what any car lover should do for their baby!

I don't even think its the dealer who is a W aN k er, its the driver! Hes just proven that he's heavy footed enough to destroy a front set of tyres in 4k miles? obviously knackered his airbox while fitting an induction kit, which in theory has screwed up his warranty for fixing it anyway, and then tries to get the dealer to fix the gearbox after admitting to constantly wheelspinning his car!
Its folk like that who make it harder for us honest folk to get stuff done on our warranties!![]()
Dont talk S H I T! i dont constantly wheelspin i said i have done the odd wheel spin! & the air box glue melted if you can READ! dont come on here chatting rubbish if you dont know what your talking about.
I dont talk the brown stuff, You have freely admitted that you have a Heavy foot and do wheelspins and burnouts(burnouts especially will take a lot of your tyres lifetime away) and I cannot see a dealership being that daft to make the claim that your tyres are soo badly worn after just three months just to get a few more bucks out of you! As for the glue thing, strange how they wont fix it because they think you have lent on it when fitting your GSR eh?oh, and if they do a diagnostic and find that you have been over revving your car at take off/burnout through the ECU, it will confirm their right not to fix under warranty!
I have been a regular on this site for about 1 1/2 years and never heard so much crap come out of one persons mouth!![]()
This is a family forum, watch your language :bang:
Why did you fit a GSR when you knew there was a warrentee claim for the airbox then?
i dont care if you have been a regular for 1 1/2 years, your still a prick. how am i spost to leen on the air box when fitting a gsr when the air box would be off anyway? ( ermmm stupid....) if you dont know what your talking about dont post nothing! i came on hereforhelp & advice not for someone like you who thinks they invented FIAT

GP1416valver clearly loves his car and had top-trumped everyone with his servicing I am sure!
Mr T, I can appreciate erring on the side of caution - but the point was - KwikGit man was trying to suggest to me that I should replace brand new tyres... Literally had many, many mm in which to drive on. Not like a tread depth thing was needed as there was so much tread! I think he was simply trying to get more work.
No offence mate, but this is kwik fit we are talking about here, I wouldnt trust them with a 6 week old puppy covered in its own poo!!![]()
