slightly O/T,Not sure what to do- sub and amp

I installed a sub and amp a good few weeks ago, a Rage 500watt amp and a SPL sub, now the thing is that i`m beginning to `grow` out of having them, (no i`m not havin a mid life crisis, i`m only 29), i`ve done this before as i`ve subs and amps in the past and sold them only to buy different ones later.
The reason why i bring this up is that i have 450watt speakers up front and 500watt speakers in the back and i don`t really play my music loud so whats the point of havin big bass any more in the back takin up space

for me having seperate component speakers and subwoofers is about sound quality, and not volume. Volume is a by-product of having multiple speakers hooked up to amplifiers.

i'm not sure if you were asking a question, but i think that since you have it now, you should keep it.
Also, i suspect that the ratings you are quoting are peak power, especially considering the brands you mentioned, which are kinda meaningless im afraid. I'VE GOT A 12" JBL GTO 1000WATT is the bragging right stamped on my sub, yet i know it runs off a 275Watt rms supply, and that if i could afford a 1000W amp, i'd blow the sub to smithereens.

I felt like that too. I deceided to sell my 12" sub and amp, due to size and having a kid, not very praticle. But then the speakers wernt bassy enough, i didnt want loud stoopid volume, just the depth of a sub. I ended up buying an infinity basslink off ebay, small and compact. Can get shopping and a pushchair in the boot now. Best buy ever!!

Hell yeah you'll miss that bass - I've been driving around now for 6 months without a sub and it's annoying that I can't hear the full range. When I can be arsed getting some power wire I'll be getting a sub on there.
