Skater sets off speed camera at 40mph!

i remember once having to cycle home late at night pissed as a fart wondering what would happen if i got pulled over by the police and the only piece of id i had on me was my driving licence

i dont know how true it is but apparently someone was on a motorway bridge with a speed gun once and got a silly number on it and then all of a sudden a military jet flys over

apparently the jets weapon systems picked up the laser or something

i dunno i was hardly listening when the person was talking about it

I heard that story when I was doing my laser training, no idea if its real or something to scare us not to do it!

I have a Honda MT-50 moped and i found out that if i do 15mph it sets off 30mph speed cameras.

its got a large hat box on it with some reflective tape/strips. i recon that the reflective tape is what triggers them.

its funny how i found out, i was in a traffic jam and was moving forward then all of a sudden i got the tell tale 2 flashes, i looked at the speedo and was only doing just over 10mph. lol at the time i was really upset as i though i was going to be done. they sent me the picture with me on the bike with the speed i was clocked at. apparently i was doing 94mph on a 50cc bike, in a traffic jam. i phoned up the number they provided and they got it up on a computer there end and said that the camera must of been faulty as they could tell by looking at the road markings i was no way doing 94 mph .
they told me i would not get any charge or any infractions.

hehe i was driving by the camera again a week or so later so i slowed down to just under 15mph and it flashed me again. lol. that time they never sent me anything.

i have tryed it out on a few speed cameras and it only seems that the 30mph ones do it.

i guess my bike looks like its going faster than it really is haha

The traffic light cams in Cardiff do that when the endless walking speed queue leaves the last car stranded when the lights change.
