Technical Sixth Gear

Picked up my new 500L last night and on the trip home I could not get into 6th gear at all. Looking at it today I was able to get into 6th by going from 5th and lifting the paddle to get into reverse and carefully going straight back. Now it goes into 6th without doing this but is very sticky. Has anybody else found this and does it ease off or does it need to go back for checking?

The 500L I test drove last week didn't do this, it sounds like a fault to me so I would get the dealer to look at it.

YES - get it checked,

however most boxes are still a 5+1 speed,
and the 6th feels very much like an addition,

Take it in. It shouldn't need that sort of fiddling to get into gear.

Thank you, I wasn't sure if it was deliberately stiff for some reason by design. It has loosened up a bit after a drive today but takes quite a bit of effort and doesn't always go in. Never had a sixth gear before so just wanted to double check. Have called it in.

The sixth on my Doblo is very easy at all times, first can be a pig sometimes though.

Been back to the dealer today and all fixed in half an hour. Now perfect.
