site slow?

Not that I think it will make any difference, but I've just got a new server delivered that I'll be moving the forum over on to.

It's slightly more powerful CPUwise, but with a lot more RAM (which is what I needed). The significant thing is the IP routing will change, so perhaps we'll be be lucky and it will solve the IPv6 issues some of you are having.

It may be more about the backbone you are connected to than just server configs/etc? There are just so many parameters these days, that I think fluctuations are inevitable.

I am also getting times where I have to press shift/control/R just to log out of Forum along with occasionally it freezing the entire PC and black screen using Linux and Firefox, so not just slow moving around the site.
It does appear to be only on Fiat Forum and not other sites.:(

It's just that it's the CloudFlare connection that seems to be the issue, not the connection behind it.

Which doesn't make a lot of sense, as then that hamster forum should have had the same issue.

Maybe it won't make a difference, but it would be nice if it did!

Servers are in London, they shouldn't be slow!

I'm back on my home laptop now (unchanged or rebooted in any way from last night) and Fiatforum loads normally again 🥳 for now at least.

Re the slow side, I noticed at bottom of page a message about transferring data via "api.viglink" which apparently is a monetization product?
Any comments???
It scans links of products in posts and puts on our affiliate code. Currently brings in about $3 a month

Server has been upgraded - well I should say website has been migrated to new server.

CPU power is up 25%, memory is doubled and it's now on a 3Gbps uplink.

Let me know if it solved anything!
Fingers crossed for you , but although better I am still not get the speed and reliability I used to have and just now it did this again.
