I think we should have a maximum sig size, say a maximum height and width, like they do on some forums.

I dont mean to be a kill joy or anything, but peoples sigs are getting sooooo massive that its getting hard to read some threads and soon we are going to be getting one reply per page!

What do you reckon Ben?

The reason you never get full-speed is due to quality of the line but also the fact that you computer is receiving quite a lot of data in the background will surfing, which is taking up some of your precious bandwidth.

Oh and by the way fiatpuntosx, I like your new sig better than the old one, but I think you need to get rid of the bit about the rare colour as there are a few Punto's in my area that exact colour :p

i wonder..... :chin:

Personally i dont think stopping people from having images in sigs is the answer.

Large images, bitmaps and animated gifs are only one half of the problem. If a limit was set on the size (file size and image size) like there is on having an avatar, then imo it would sort that part out.

But also some people have loooaaaaads of text in their sigs. And people who have quotes in their sigs may only take up 20 characters, but that translates as 6 or 7 lines!

Therefore i think an overall limit of images and how many lines of text used, should be placed.

Thats what I've been saying (don't look at my sig.. nothing to see here).. But it doesn't personally affect me one way or the other... unless somebodys sig is stupidly large, even Bennyboys sig (500+K) isn't going to effect the speed of the forum to me.

EDIT: I changed mine so ner. :nerner:

Lol, the only prob is the quality goes, you can do it with photoshop, but 217k that isnt to bad, the only thing is i and prob alot of you are used to broadband, on a 56k modem (if on good connection) is:

217 divided by 56 = 4.8 seconds

This is the 50k version in all it's glory:

Looks just the same to me unless you really enlarge it. 200 odd k is big for a sig though.

i think some of the smaller sigs are much nicer to the eye than the big ones and the gif animated ones

There were two shades of metallic green, one introduced in 98, this being one of those, there arent many of either around here.

The only reason i put rare is because i cant find the touch up paint to match
