Technical Side Door loading height from ground to floor.

I am planning to buy a new motorhome, van conversion, however my wife has disabilities hence I need to know the height from ground level to floor at the sliding side door. FIAT UK don't know the height and I have the email stating that. Anybody handy with a tape measure. My Local agency is 70 miles away.

The measurement that you are requesting will vary according to vehicle loading, of which the conversion will be a significant part.

The floor height of my 2006 x244 is about 490mm, but bear in mind that a slide out step will approximately be at half this height.

I would expect more recent vehicles to have a similar floor height.

For reference the rise of my domestic stairs is about 200mm or 8 inches.

Thanks for that. I thought it would be about that. Initially I mailed Fiat UK with the question and they didn't know and wouldn't help me.

Just checked our X290 XLWB, the original floor is as Communicator said 490mm (512mm to finished motor home floor level) & the Thule slide out step is 290mm from ground level, our X290 is also fitted with the AL-KO front struts which has lifted the front around 40+ mm from standard.
