Bee is happy in the snow!
(I'm trying to ignore the fact that the flexipipe broke, and I drove 450km with her sounding like a V8. Never seen a Bee with a V8??)
LRB: Do you remember who delivered it? Already been talking to Henk at Barchettaparts, and he has one at 200Euros. I'm also considering welding in a universal flex to speed things up. I can get the flex for 20GBP, so that would be alot cheaper.. But more job!
I will check it out! Thanks a lot for the tip! This forum is priceless.![]()
I hope soooooooo much that the swap will go easy, even though I know that ain't gonna happen. All I have here is the original jack, and some simple tools. No drill or similar. And my garage is a parking house (or a basement to be accurate..) so I don't exactly have a lot of room. Got all the tools and space I need back home at my parents' place, but that doesn't help me now.
Everything is possible!Gotta have faith, hehe..

Happy with the exhaust, or is it too noisy for you?
I'm not quite sure yet. It is very loud between 2500-3500rpm - seems like I get some sort of resonance. Not unlikely because of the hardtop. Could also have been some leakage from the flexipipe (even though I think it was airtight until it broke completely). Looking forward to the spring when the hardtop comes off so I can listen to it the way it's supposed to: roof down. Do you get a very deep rumble from 2500 to 3500? Apart from in that range I think it's a bit too quiet..When I get her past 4000rpm want to hear her growl like an feisty italian should.
Now she's pretty quiet.
Get a Green Filter induction kit, from 3500 mine makes a fantastic sound - and apart from the downpipe my exhaust is still a standard FIAT one!! - I must record it and put a soundbyte up!!
I went to pick up my brother a few months ago and he could hear me probably 2-3kms overtaking everybody (mostly red Bsas they seem to be used to driving fire engines).
He complimented me on how great it sounded but was not too sure about the mods I had made to the body
