Not so great wheels at the moment. hoping to stick some fatter rubber on next year - either that or put some of the 15" original flat polished alloys......if I can get my hands on some.

Correct me if I'm wrong Little red B from Binfield but either you have different makes of tyres on the rear (tut tut) or you have directional tyres on the rear and one of them is on the wrong way??
(you can tell that I am bored):D

 rumbled!!! I have a Michelin on the nsr and a GT Radial on the osr - in my defence your honour I have only had the car since late May and new wheels/tyres are on the 'to-do' list (after decorating the hall according to her wot must be obeyed)........

Hehehe:D
I have a bit of a tyre fetish:eek:
Need to get out more

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

The OZ-wheels looks great, but do they fit the Barchetta? Don't think I've seen one with them. My personal favorite are these:

Can't remember the name, sorry. If noone else knows, I'll figure it out this evening if you're interested. :)

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

Love the OZ alloys RedB, but personally I'd go for at least 16", preferably 17". I've got 16", and even with 40/40 lowering the B sits a little high.

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

This is where I am a bit confused:eek:
I bought my Yelllow B with the original 15" steel wheels attached and it looked OK but before I even drove it home for the first time, I went and bought/fitted the 17" wheels it wears now. Even though the rolling radius is the same as the 15" it looks to sit way too high. I didnt really want to fit lowering springs but I may be forced to??

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

The B always sat a little high on the wheels as stock if you ask me. 17" alloys on the OEM shocks & springs must be like driving a table hehehe ;)

Then again you should see the damage that I have on my downpipe from large speedbumps and crap like that.

I've just been studying my pics again and I think that it definitely sits too high at the front. It feels fine to drive. What suspension are you running Doc??

I agree that they do sit very high on the road, hadn't really noticed until I pulled up to a set of lights next to an MX-5 last week and I was towering above it. Trouble is there is not that much ground clearance so am not sure that you could drop a B more than a couple of inches without a serious re-work of the suspension.

I am looking to fit some new springs later this year (as they seem to be a relatively cheap mod) but have read numerous horror stories about springs not fitting etc, what make have you guy's fitted?

Re: SHOW OF YOUR BARCHETTA Photos wanted

I have Koni sports adjustable shocks and springs. Easy to fit with no mods needed.

If I was going to do it again I would go with front coil over as that gives you adjustable ride hight as well, but you have to mod the strut top mount a bit as far as I know.
