iv'e been looking at sum 3.0 gtv's and they are really stating to woo me i mean there 220bhp std 60 in 6.5 155mph plus if you get angel to tune them they're 240bhp im just a bit concerned about the big service bills been even more than my current hgt plus the insurance will be £20 cheaper as the hgt is not standed have declared the exhaust filter and the cams i wouldn't have to declare the remap because its practically untraceable plz guys let us know what you think

If you can live with the crippling service costs and hiddeous fuel bills, then go for it.

cost

will deffo cost you more but so much cooler!!!

its a cost per coolness calculation you need to do, how much cool do you get per pound spent..

Fuel costs are acceptable providing you dont boot it everywhere, 28mpg can be achieved.

Buy sensibly and get one with specialist history and lots of reciepts and they dont offer much hassle. Servicing costs really arent that bad either when independant. Change the oil every 6k.

i know what ure saying but i just cant seem to choose between them on 1 hand uve got the bravo which in my opinion is better looking then uve got the alfa v6 need i say anymore its just ive about gid up on my 20vt project now as every time i find sum1 to fit the engine etc they pull out at the last min plus i doubt ill find 1 for sale thats not ****ed if there even is any for sale lol

standed

hgt155 7.7 0-62 134mph
3.0 v6 alfa 6.4 0-62 154mph

but i don't know what the alfa is like for tunability etc where as i know the hgt is virtually bulletproof lol and is highly tunable

as for running costs on the alfa, hopefully i can help there aswell.

www.powergtv.co.uk ...when silma or rog answers the phone make sure you say Paul recommended you.

As for the gtv, they are lovly cars and as a standard cars you feel special.. if you want more then the standard 220bhp you need to go for a fiat coupe 20vt or convert the bravo. tuning on naturally aspirated cars tends to be very expensive with little gain.

Personnally the alfa is much better looking then the bravo, not tht the bravo is bad, just prefer the gtv.

alfa GTV

The GTV is way cooler IMO.

I think it looks better, especially the facelift 2003 version.

I might buy one.......trade my BMW 130i in

28mpg from a 3.0 V6?

No chance! I don't even get that from a 2.0 TS.

my 130i

my 130i should give me 30mpg but actually gives me 25mpg, depends on how you drive and where you have to drive, me = heavy right foot and town centre driving with some motorway.

Someone around "ull" owns a great GTV 3.0 in red with full bodykit and it looks the mutts.
