Shell tanker drivers

wow looks like you wont be here for long:wave:

Not a problem..I only came on this site to glean some info to rectify a problem with my daughters car, I saw this topic & threw my tuppence worth in...did'nt realise Fiat owners were such a cheeky bunch...Of course, driving those things, they would need a sense of humour!!:)

You're having a laugh matey...all those qualifications & you cant see anything risky about lugging 36000 litres of petrol on the back of a lorry....I'm sure its clear to everyone else on here exactly who is losing credibility.

Grab yourself a COSHH assesment sheet for unleaded petrol & have a read..you'll find my facts are spot on!!:rolleyes:

All this Union talk, keep it for the little old ladys watching the 6 oclock news.

It presents hazards, give you that, but what job doesnt? Because of ADR, DSEAR and the awareness and competence of your management the risks are kept to a minimum. All you as a driver all you do is follow operating procedures and instructions from your management. When you arent on strike the act of filling and decanting tankers must take place over 1000 times a day up and down the country without incident so it cant be that dangerous........... can it?

C-mon man, at least try and back yourself up............Start showing us something that proves the job is as dangerous as you claim it is. When was the last time one went up and did actually toast the driver?
