As dave said i honestly thaught it'd be in much worse condition than it is...

shame they wouldn't let you pic the other car could have been handy to show the insurance company the point of damage on the 3rd parties car

thats where a multiburst camera comes in walk past it with your finger on the button click click click click ;)

Well, I very nearly did. But, I just so happened to hear what garage in Norfolk it's being taken to. Happens to be 15 miles up the road from college, and the last place the new Sisley 4x4 was MOTed at :ROFLMAO:

So might go up there and try and take some pic's.

Well did you win???

Yes :D

Now got a L-reg replacement by the looks of it :) for £745 :)

Dad's also getting a 1.8 Auto Astra tomorrow as a courtesy car. So we'll be using that for our trip to Cornwall and back :p

sorry to hear about the accident! hope your sister is ok, that's the bad thing about older cars, especially small ones they don't protect you from other peoples poor driving as much as newer cars do.
hope this isn't in bad taste!
on the plus side, you now know what a convertible panda will look like!

good to hear that it hasn't put you off of pandas though!

And, I forgot to mention, spoken to the insurance company, and they've still to confirm it in writing, but they said that they've no problem with, before the car goes to the crusher or scrappy, us being let loose on it to remove any parts of value that we want :D

So all will not be waisted :)

That's good news re the new one and th news above Jon.

Now don't whatever you do, drive the new Panda down to get bits from the old one - how will it feel seeing it's deceased predecessor

Or select video mode, press record, pretend to make a phone call and stand sideways with the phone camera facing the 'subject'. You can even walk across the vision field of the 'subject' to take some extra angles. Then download the phone video onto a computer and capture some of the frames in a video editing software.

;)

Just read this thread - Blimey glad that your Dad & Sister are OK

Glad that your Dad hasn't been put off Pand-er-ing and has already got a good replacement (y)

Hope they are both feeling 100% soon!

Excellent news!

Must say that was a very quick replacement. If it was me, it'd probably take at least a couple of months. I've just too many options on mine that I just couldn't do without...

Bloody hell
Only just seen this

Tell your old man that's the last time i'll sell him any mint cars if thats the way he treats them !!

Seriously though , Really glad they're both ok and that it's only bent metal at the end of the day

Don't forget the severe head aches and neck pains from the whip lash !!
Its worth more than the vehicle insurance !

Lol. I did just so happen to think of you when we walked into the garage that she's being stored in. Though, hmmmm, reminds me of some nice Pic's I got in an email about 9 months ago :(

We were saying if only this had happened this time last year. Would have done us a favour and got rid of a shed of a 1000CL!

If it's any consilation Carl, it wasn't his fault

Now that we've been told we can probably get our hands on what every bits from the car we want, how easy is it to remove a gearbox from a mangled Selecta

Although on a serious note, does the gearbox have to be removed to get the clutch out (I'm assuming so :(). Going to get the brushes out and things like coil packs though!

Wouldn't it be easier to see if you could buy the wreck from the insurance company and then you could strip it at your leisure ?

Trev

I was thinking this, but according to the recovery firm they're unlikly to do that because it could cause a danger to us in our drive

Also means it's in the dry when it's at the recovery depot :p
