A quick question, my car had 2 services done with the previous owner, and in the service book the oil and filter change, and the service tick boxes had both been ticked.
Now, when I bought the car, the car people (who I can't stand) said that it had been serviced and MOT'd. I've got the MOT certificate, however in the service book only the oil and filter change tick box has been checked, and not the service one. Service intervals were 8k, 18k, and 28k (28k was when I bought it). These were all done annually. After an e-mail to them, this is what i got
Are they basically saying that all they've done is changed the oil filter and the oil because this is all what needed doing checking everything else, or are they saying that they did an oil and filter change because that is only an interim service and it was due a full service which they couldn't be arsed doing. If a service is a service, then why wasn't the service tickbox ticked in the book?
Cheers

I have looked into your query and can confirm we did a full oil and filter service on your car that is required at the time of age and mileage, the services do vary dependant on the age and mileage so the service your car has received is a Car People service where the checks are completed and if any items need replacing then this would be done, this service is carried out if there is no manufactures warranty, so the stamp in your service book is correct and recognised by dealerships
