My Daughters car (2018 500) has just started to show a Service 27dd on the display. Ive had a quick web search and it says City Control issue. Has any one had this before and what was the fix . It only shows for a couple of seconds then goes away.
When my wife's car hit 30,000km it displayed "Service coupon expired" for some time afterward, perhaps a month, on start-up. I don't know if it displayed a countdown prior to that and she wouldn't have noticed. In any case it gets serviced every twelve months by an independent, as does mine which has 29,946km racked up on its seventh anniversary (so I know it's not counting days!).
I have just done the Panda. You basically enter the date of the service you have done. Then the miles the next service is due. The car changes the miles to go its self.
The car has 9 slots for services to be entered. Service coupons. WHen all 9 are used the ECU can be reset to give it another set you should not need to do this yet unless all 9 resets have been completed already.

Had our 500 5 years and 45k+(now on 91k) and the indicator has never come up, 59 plate?
Only included in the top models, so might not be there. And inclusion varied through each facelift/model change, so two apparently identical models might differ.
Hi. Portland BillThis could be why you should not always believe what you read on the web.
It is actually what it says, a service is due in 27 days time. Tomorrow it will display 26dd.
There is a service interval counter on the higher models, that counts miles or days, whichever occurs first. This should be reset at each service. As yours is displaying days, it suggests that the miles are less than the interval, but it is probably nearly a year since the last reset.
If you ignore it, it will, after 27 days, display, "service expired". It will show this, and nag you about it, for some time, but if ignored, will eventually give up.
However, servicing should not be ignored, even if the reset is.

Depending on your model l, older Fiat’s have reminders only for the first 6 services (at least they did on older puntos) so once it’s been serviced 6 times it will then stop prompting unless you have the reminder reset during a fiat dealer service.
Thank you! I’m only at 7 coupons so just the service to change. Good stuff thanks again
Hi. Portland Bill
Thanks for the reply. The car was serviced about 3 weeks ago. Should the service provider have reset the counter. Is this something that I could do or will I have to take it back to the garage.
