Not a lot the salesperson can do when you're in the driving seat. I said I was coming from a 2.4JTD and 2.0 16v so expected performance. I was not told to take it easy
Personally I think the Bravo looks most ugly from that angle. The bonnet is sky-high and the nose looks huge. Also the windows appear to be continuing the trend of reduced glass area. Look how large the rear flanks are, and those wheels look as though they're 13" even though they're probably 16s.
I don't think the styling of the Bravo will be very enduring, though it looks OK next to that other 'thing' (Renault Modus?) next to it. I think in another five years there will be something more 'delicate' and prettier to replace the Bravo.
Just my opinions, mind, but I feel that the Stilo is probably a little more 'trim' and neutral. It also makes me appreciate the clean lines of the Uno more

I think it is getting hard to reconcile safety with style.
Also I'd be interested to know about the steering/handling of the Bravo. Does it feel more connected with the road than the Stilo?

Not sure what the Stilo should have been - as far as I can see it's already what it is - just try asking the ownerIn buying the Bravo 2

Not driven a Stilo apart from a Multiwagon.
The new bravo isn't nearly as hands on as the old bravo, and certainly not the drivers car which is my Tipo... But you can certainly put it around corners quick. Not found a suitable corner to test the grip on yet. Maybe have to give it a test when I'm next at Croft.

Like Alex, I'd be interested if the Bravo offers more feel than the Stilo (its main weakness).
Judging from a few comments made I gather the Bravo doesn't match the Stilo's renowned stability at speed.

I found on my road trip that ive just finished the Stilo does indeed cruise very nicely up around 70mph!
.....and return a rather tidy mpg!
What stability issues? Where you read that?
From what I've seen the bravo uses a slightly wider Stilo based chassis with a changed rear suspension to improve handling. From the driving I've done I can safely say it feels a lot slower than it is. I thought the Marea was bad for masking the speed but in the Bravo 80mph comes easily and it feels like 50mph!
I don't think anyone said it was bad - just not in same league as the Stilo (somewhere on Forum - can't really be bothered to search)
So what rear suspension does the Bravo have - is it still torsion beam?
Thought Stilo was trailing arm?

We done comparison on country/motorway roads with both stilo(1.6) & new bravo(1.4) and I have to say the bravo won hands down,more precise & sure-footed.This was the conclusion of everyone.

You're treading on the strong points of the Stilo so looks like I'll have to book a test drive. The trouble is, exactly as nowimboard has said, there's simply no way I'd be able to push the Bravo to the extremes I've taken the Stilo to.
The Stilo to me is one of those odd cars which only starts to shine when you push it hard. I was singularly unimpressed with a Golf TDi I compared it with so can only assume the Bravo must be a cracking motor
It's pulled a few stilo owners across and I can't imagine they did it just to have a newer car. I heard last second that the road I was on was closed ahead so since I was in the inside lane I zipped off and around a few tight corners at what must have been close to the speed I left the dual carriageway A road. I'm terrified first time I drive the Tipo hard when its back on the road I'll be expecting the clever computer aided cornering of the Bravo and will bin it into the nearest ditch

I'm not,makes no difference to me if anyone here buys a bravo or not,Fiat cars are not the only ones I work on,also I work for other garages so i'll always get paid.
However I reckon the bravo is a excellent car,one its owners & Fiat can be proud of.I have nothing against the stilo but i'd know which one I would choose.

Got a lift into work in a 1.4T Bravo, so was only a passenger. Ride is not as cosetting as the Stilo, almost seemed harsh and the interior plastics creaked and resonated on this car (presume its a demo) like they do on my mates 56 plate pickyera*@hole, as he calls his Citroen. Bravo's interior seems cramped too compared with the Stilo.
JTD or 1.6 on 16vt Coupe alloys gives an inch extra on the track width and gives outstanding ride and stability up to 125mph, already realised a long while ago that rear tyres tucking under on hard cornering, resulting in outer edge scrub/wear, was the real issue with the Stilo all along.
If it's gonna take my car plus 10K to get into one, think i'm gonna get the coupe alloys re-shod and run my JTD till it drops
