I have a 2001 seicento 1108cc which has recently had a new head gasket (allegedly). When the car is stationary if you rev the engine it vibrates quite badly on overrun, does anyone have any ideas? I don't trust the guy who allegedly fitted the gasket!

if it wasnt doing that before you fitted the new gasket then you already know what the problem is mate, i dont know much about that side of cars so i cant give good advice except get it checked out by someone who knows what there doing.

I have a Mark 1 Punto and i have a vibration noise when i get to about 2500 revs, i had a new head gasket in Feb last year, when it went i was told the Exhaust Manifold Gasket had blown but i havent had it replaced yet.
So i would say try the Manifold Gasket first.

If your getting excessive engine movement it could be down to an engine mount. I can't see how a blown headgasket or exhaust gasket could cause vibration
