General Seat Covers for 500

General Seat Covers for 500

Thanks for all the replies to my original question.

The Foderart ones look really good but as I said I would be just as worried about getting those dirty.

I finally bought a cheap set from Halfords. It says they are air bag compatible.

They're nothing to look at but I can slip them on when I'm working in my overalls and then remove them when we are going out.

Halfords have two low price front covers - basic at around £10 and wipeable at £14.

I have used my 500 for work for around 18 months now and apart from a little grubbiness on the driver seat the interior still looking good. In fact after a hoover and polish it still has the feel it had when I first got in it.

The french girl I mentioned some messages ago has just posted a few pics of her just received FoderArt covers, and that's all it will take to make me order a full cover in a near future (certainly in a different colour though :)), I am well impressed. (y)

I am in the same situation as the OP (have a dog) and am looking at covers from a UK firm (www.jcseatcovers.co.uk). They're being very helpful so far.

I have the black/ivory check seats because we don't get to specify options here in New Zealand :( Otherwise I would have gone for leather.

Am thinking about faux leather for the covers, but can't seem to find any details of the colour code etc for "ivory ambience" The fabric on the back of the seats is what I'm trying to match if anyone here can help.

Wanting to go "2 tone" with ivory and red (Pasadoble Red 500 ;)). If ever get them made, I'll post photos.

I have to think about that too, my dog doesn't leave me a choice! :p
First port of call would be Halfords for something cheap but if you want something more classy and better quality, I read about an Italian company called FoderArt. They do personalised covers in simili leather for almost all sorts, 500s included. http://www.foderart.it/negozio/index.php?language=en

You're looking at 240 euros for fabric and 280 euros for a leather imitation, delivery inclusive.

I have already used foderart for my panda seat covers in 2015 (pictures 1 and 2)
I was 100% pleased with the back seat covers,
I was less pleased with the front seat covers, they lack the profundity of the seat in the middle (where my back goes).
It's weird because in some pictures they get the profondity right (picture 3)

I will contact them when I get my new 500 lounge in march,
The seats texture is the only thing I don't like of the lounge,
I find the random pattern of the white lines ugly (picture 4)

I hope they get it right on the 500,
I am pretty sure they have more experience of doing this on the 500!

EDIT:
by the way, they have an online configurator here
