Hi
Had the gearbox in my scudo replaced - long and painful story :bang:

Replacement box has reverse at top left of gate - it was orginally bottom right.

So if i do not pay attention i end up selecting reverse at junction and going backwards towards terrified persons behind :D ...occasionally entertaining if they are not too close - but it's going to end up hurting my NCD. (n)

so i need to change the lever etc to stop me selecting reverse without first lifting collar on gear lever of revised design.

Scrappy in midlands wants £80 for shifter, £60 for selector & £60 for linkage.

There is a rolled ulysse in a scrap yard not too far away that will work out a lot cheaper - I am wondering if the lever assembly etc is the same part - if it will go straight in without hammering and drilling and swearing and breaking things & do i need shifter, selector AND linkage or can i just change (what i think of as) lever and gate.

If my description of parts is incorrect please tell me straight, it's important that i understand what i'm going to mess with.

Can anyone give me some much needed info/advice please.

Thanks
