Anyone else have pretty bad rust issues underneath.

Both the wishbones on mine are a mess. As is just about everything behind the wheels.

My spring job is to wire wheel the lot, treat with a chemical rust killer and paint.

Wierdly enough my sump is spotless!!

Wouldn't worry too much about wishbones, they're pretty much consumables. Check the subframe and panel joints and also arch lips. I did all the corrosion on mine this year. Cleaned, dried rubber back and treated where necessary then treated with phosphoric acid, primed and painted. Then every box section for filled with dynax s50 and the rest get several coats of dynax ub. If you intend to keep the car a long time, it's worth doing.

Cheers

Ben

I've been using KuRust once I've got it clean and any loose rust off, then using a tin of underbody paint.

Will check arch lips, want to keep car as long as I can really, it's an 06 but only got 60k on it.

Careful with underbody paint, the rubbery stonechip type stuff cracks eventually. Best with removal and treatment / converter then decent primer and proper paint then sealant over the lot.
