I have a 2007 Fiat Punto Grande. A warning message came up 'Check running lights'. All the bulbs were changed, but the warning light is still showing. I don't know what else we need to do.
I didn't realise that there were different wattage for the bulbs. How do I know what wattage I need? PleaseHi
Got the correct wattage bulbs in each lamp (that is the favourite). Led bulbs cause this too of course![]()
Do you have access to the manual?I didn't realise that there were different wattage for the bulbs. How do I know what wattage I need? Please
only when I turn the lights onDoes it come on with:
The ignition
With the sidelights switched on
When Braking
Or a combination of those.?
The running light bulbs (both) and rear brake light bulbWhich bulbs did you change?
OkThe running light bulbs (both) and rear brake light bulb
I will check those issues. Thank you very much for your help. We have had the car a long time from new, but it is still in good condition and runs ok.Ok
Brake lights will only sense when brake applied
Running.. You mean the small 'push-in' front sidelight bulbs? (same as numberplate bulbs)
If you've swapped 'like for like'.
Same wattage. (that is what the system monitors).
Favourite with a 199 punto will be a poor connection at the rear light cluster..
Unplug the Cluster from the loom.. Look at the 4 pins.. Probably corroded
A nail file is good for cleaning the surface![]()
Also check the plug.. Are the 4 a silvery constacts OK.. Or 1 Opened up?
You can gently reshape it with a ting probe.. Or screwdriver.
I owned 4 of these cars... Good cars... But 15 years takes a toll
No problemI will check those issues. Thank you very much for your help. We have had the car a long time from new, but it is still in good condition and runs ok.
