Second thread of the evening!

Neway those painted lines at the start and end of 30 zones, or their moulded rippled concrete equivalents. I assume they are meant to encourage you to slow down, yet the faster you travel over them the less effect they have...who thought that one out? Right we'll put measures in the road to encourage people to slow down, good plan how will they do this? by vibrating the living f**k out of people who slow down for them. What about people who are speeding? Well they'll experience a slight BURRR! noise but nothing unpleasant.. Thats pointless..so lets spend tax payer money on this...:slayer:

I love them makes the panda rattle like f**k

and its a game to see if anything falls off whilst going over them ;)

I thought they were supposed to be more like a sign that you feel instead of see. As opposed to speed bumps which are meant to force you to slow down.

There's some totally random ones around here not at the start or end of zones, just stuck somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Otherwise that would make sense.

Junction near me has rumble strips, as you approach from either end you get a bump te bump te bump. The strips are on both sides of the road, which makes no sense to me because it means when you've passed this 'dangerous' junction you pass over rumble strips going away from it as well ! Really dim witted person thought we'll slow them going into the junction then slow them down again when they've got past the junction :bang:

Aren't they meant to give ladies an orgasm if you go over them at the right speed?

:p

cheaper than buying one of them citroens with lane sensing thingy i guess.:p

they've got these rumble bits along the "toll road" in weston, it's a road in the woods with a cliff into the sea which several people have died on, something like 5 or so in the last two years:eek: anyway back to the point if you go over these at more than 50mph it makes no difference, yet at the 25mph speed limit it's irritating.:bang:

HAHA!!!!

I thaught they were to alert you that you are coming to the end of a motorway or dual carriageway

still, what is wrong with signs??

the M62 (Liverpool end) just uses signs and then reduces the limit to 40

knowsley expressway uses those silly rumble strips
