Ok chaps, new feature and once again I come down into the friendly warm and snuggly place we call the Classic Panda section to get your new opinion.

Social groups have been upgraded to basically become "Social Forums", with each model getting its own official presence.

To be able to post, you need to join it first, which Charlotte or Urchin will need to confirm (keeps it safer for you lot) after which you can post threads as you would in here, but without dave coming in every 5 minutes to tell you off.

At the moment it's a bit disjointed, but I am working on getting it so the latest discussion threads also appear at the top of the forum - so you won't miss anything

This makes everything pretty straight forward now - technical stuff can obviously stay in here, general chat ABOUT A PANDA can continue to be posted with the "General" prefix, however any random chat about this that and what have you should now be put in the social group.

If you feel the need to broadcast it to the world, you have the LL as always - however you can now have you nice little community home too

I really hope this is the final solution required to get everything running ship-shape now - but as always, if you have any ideas on how to make it better, feel free to post on this thread and I'll see what I can do

How do we get to them? Link in the model forum as a sticky? or in a banner as is now?

Perhaps have the MM bar and classified/aw in there too?

nope,it goes to the mod(s) who control the group
so for the Panda group its your Panda section mods

This seems like a great solution. The forum stays tidy and organised and within the rules, and we get a corner to hang around in like the naughty schoolchildren that we are .

Ok, at the moment, the threads are a bit of a "cut down" version.

There are no attachments or multiquotes. I need to add normal quoting in (will get that sorted either today or tomorrow) and a few other bits are missing, but the essential stuff is there.

In terms of integration - I intend to show the latest 3 SG threads above the current thread list in a "Whats being discussed in the Panda social group?" box.

I did start on that last night bt it was slightly more complicated than I thought and I was sleepy, so it's about 25% done now
