Hi, I have a Panda 4x4 from 1988 1000ie 33kw. I want to replace the alternator. I want to be sure that I order the right one. I also have new doors for my car with electric windows do you need an alternator that produces more electricity? I also want to install electric seat heating.

so in the UK pretty much all pandas only had a 45 amp alternator. however take it from me, you can fit pretty much any alternator onto a panda so long as it came from a car with the FIRE engine. my panda has a 95 amp alternator on it from a punto 1.2 that was fitted with electronic powered steering.
you can even upgrade the single V belt to a multi V belt by just changing the crank pully with one from a different fiat fitted with the fire engine.

i made the mistake of using the single V belt and swapping the alternator pulley over from its original multi V to the pandas original single V type.. but under heavy electrical loads all it did was just slip the belt. swapping the crank and alternator pullies over to the multi V ones used on the Punto stopped the belt slipping totally. i just took the parts from the punto and they bolted strait onto the panda's engine. even the punto's belt fit. (and its still using it like 10 years later!)

one thing you will notice on other alternators from more modern FIRE engined cars is that the alternators have a mount at the back. which the panda does not have. you can just ignore it and use only the front type mounts.

i highly recommend it if you plan on running extra lighting or like me am into the ham radio hobby and need that extra power.

have a look at this:

like i say, i would not change the alternator pulley and just use the newer better multi V belt system. it swaps over with just 3x 13mm bolts on the crank pulley.
