Got a couple more plans brewing :secret: so much for not modding it :man_in_love:

Well sunday night's ebay adventure didn't go so well. The Supersprint mani that was on there went over my budget (as i expected :rolleyes2: ) I got outbid on an OMP 300mm steering wheel and boss and cba'd bidding on some smoked side repeater covers.

On the plus side tho, look what's happened View attachment 2061 fablon :tongue3:

Still haven't washed it since St. Andrew's, got myself a load of detailing goodies for my b/day crying out to be used!!

hi folks,

Not been many changes to my wee cinq, although I've been upto smart tints hq the day an got a wee bit rust seen to and some new bumper inserts  Oh and first post using photobucket so images are a little large

Forgot to get a before picture from today, but things went a little like this,
Front bumper removed,

Orange inserts replaced by black inserts,

After a little bit of work by Martyn,

Sprayed up and bumper fitted,

As it was a spur of the moment job, more work will need to be done to the bonnet. Arch liners back in, crack in bumper and blowing flexi pipe next on the correction list.

Well not much to report other than MOT passed again and 3 weeks into travelling to Bolton for the final year at Uni so theres another 4000miles added to the car. Just past the 64k mark.
As for mods, 14" Speedlines are polished up in garage still awaiting tyres, spacers, studs and nuts. Had seriously thought about selling them, but going to try get them on for spring, gotta be representing cinq's for the 2011 show season

Just a drivers side brake pipe had corroded and was replaced. The MOT guy had thought the rear pipes were going to need replaced, but said on closer inspection they weren't as bad as they looked. He's cleaned and lubricated them and said he'll inspect them again next year or when the car next goes in.
Considering my emissions thread, they were a little close for comfort!! Fast Idle test, CO <0.20%vol was 0.20%vol, HC ok & lamda 0.97-1.03 was 1.006. Natural idle was fine, CO <0.30%vol was 0.11%vol.

tyres, spacers, studs and nuts

Been looking at these today,
30mm H&R spacers £78 with matched bolts £12, 4x Falken ZE912 tyres fitted £215 = £305 Best get saving!!

Rich , i recently got a set of H&R spacers (15mm / side) for £40 from alania :D They are amazing kit, really light compared to the norm.

Seriously get studs and nuts.... with spacers that thick, it will be hard to put the wheel on with bolts! As you need to locate the spacers and the hub at the same time.

Nuts/studs way forward! IS the falken 185/50/14 or 175/50/14?

Ming

Ah might do Ming tbh, costs about the same bolt or studs/nuts. That's 195/45/14's from camskill delivered and fitted locally, but would check local prices before final purchase of tyres.

If ah could pick up a set of second hand H&R's al just at them, just have to keep an eye out.

ah forgot you have the 6j speedlines. Good choice :) . Why not try and look for part worn ? They usually have loads. As long as you have the same make/thread depth tyre on the same axel you will be fine :) .

Ming

Yeah still tempted by part worns, should be able to get 4 tyres for about 75quid that way. Guy on the bay that ad seen before has 2 Hankooks in atm with about 3-3.5mm tread

check local :) much cheaper than ebay, as then you need postage to pay and get people to fit them!!

I'll got some universal spacers, not the best in the world, but it will get you by till you get some proper spacers?

Remember with larger alloys you need bigger brake to fill them :p

those falkens are the ones i run on the cinq, i can vouch for them being a very good tyre indeed, really stiff sidewalls but grippy rubber, gives lots more steering feel over standard IMO and the amount of grip they offer in the dry is surprisingly good, only matched by the toyo t1-r's i had on the punto and calibra, in the wet/slippy stuff though they are better than the toyos by a mile IMO
