What you doin?

Hi James, What are you actually changing and why? Are you changing the complete arm or are you wanting to replace the pads with metal bits? In the case of the former it is simply a case of disconecting the controling ends (i.e. clutch) or slackening the cables right off. If you want to replace the pades them rip em off and drill the new ones on with a block of wood behind the arm to brace it them countersinking the screws, tightening them up and you've done it. Be warned though, I did the latter on a 200SX Turbo and got into serious grief when one came loose when bustin a tight right! It aint fun at 90 in a tight right in the wet with RWD and loosing your feet!
In my "brief" experience of racing FF1600, you don't gain anything with nice bits like that, I had sticky ruber bits cos you dont want to slip if your driving seriously... especially if you are LF braking co its messy and expensive and ultimately embarrasing. cheers
