General Recommended garage for cam belt water pump change

Hi

2017 2.3 multijet fiat Ducato
Does anyone have any recommendations for a garage or someone who would fit the kit for the cam belt water pump change? I have the full kit it’s genuine OEM kit but every garage I’ve asked won’t do it as it voids warranty
Hope someone can recommend someone in the North West,I’m between Liverpool and Manchester

The "voids warranty" quote is an excuse to get you off their backs.
The reason they will not do it is, you by supplying the parts have taken away half their profit as well.
Plus garages have their own trusted suppliers who will have the correct part or the alternative in stock, if the part you supply is wrong they are left with a vehicle stripped down blocking the ramp and stopping them earning money to pay their staff wages etc.
You don't go into a restaurant with your own food.

Hi Steveda, I tend to be slow on the uptake but why would you want to change cam belt and water pump if the van is still under warranty?

I dont think his van is under warrenty. Its the garage saying they cant warrenty the work on parts not supplied by them.

It’s not under warranty it’s a 2018 sold but 2917 built and fiat only did a 3 yr warranty, it seems to be the garages that won’t guarantee the work if customers provide parts, but it seems such a waste as they are genuine fiat parts

I agree it would be a shame to waste the genuine parts, if you are 100% certain they are correct for your vehicle, maybe you could speak to one of the garages that you would be most happy with and explain the situation offering to pay a "surcharge " for them to fit your parts, as in general unless you specify most non franchised garages will fit the parts they are most happy with from their local stockist as they get a better discount from them compared with Fiat etc.
The only alternative would be to pay Fiat's hourly rate at the Fiat Dealership you presumably bought the parts from if they are amenable.

No not yet but I have a contact for a company in Preston that might do it, haven’t rang them yet

my mate in Warrington speacialises in fiat ducato etc and manages a fleet of them, Jonnys garage warrington, I have one and use him all the time and I am a mechanic, good prices too he does mapping and dpf egr removals by the bucket load too just say steve recommended you with the black van

Thank you for the info I’ve just been to see him, nice bloke nice clean organised garage and he can do the work, I really appreciate your reccomendation and great to now have a local garage for anything else
