Technical 2008 3.0 160hp, alternator belt change

Hi im looking for information on how to remove the alternator belt on my 3.0 ltr fiat ducato... specifically i want to know how to loosen the tension on the belt, soits not spinning the alternator or water pump as im trying to find out if my engine has a slight rattle/knock coming from waterpump/alternator or big end bearing failing.

please bare in mind this is the 3.0ltr and has a cam chain with a belt just for the water pump and alternator ( no air con.)

thankyou for the information, very helpful, now i can drop the belt and seeif it still rattle on tick over.
