Does this cause the steel rim to corrode and the tyre come off at high speed?

Yeah, brake fluid absorbs any moisture, so the brakes have more friction to slow you down if I'm correct?

So it will deffo cause corrosion. If you ever feel the need a vandalise a persons car always use brake fluid =) I think it needs special treatment too.

Luke.

Not really. It does absorb moisture, which in turn makes it less efficient over time (water has a much lower boiling point) and the water will corrode all the ferrous bits in the brake system. That's why you should change it every couple of years (or much more often on competition cars).

So the car finally went in this morning for its service asked for an oil change fuel filter air filter coolent change brakes bled they think its the wheel cyilinder thats gone thats causing the leak so thats being done and brakes adjusted. Hope everything else is ok heres hoping lol
