Really, what IS happening to this club?

by putting stuff like this on the forum u are actually allianating potential new members meaning they will just go elsewhere. some people just dont have the time to go online like me. and also the old bravo is now a very old car and older cars are now becoming rare so unless we get more new bravo members it will die. sorry guys...

Will don't go mate, I hear what you saying and I too am a member of the south east car club, which is a multi make car club, and I still pop on the mondeo owners club from time to time, but once I sold my mondeo I handed in my moderator position. I not saying the chaps that are moderators on this forum who no longer own the marque should give up there moderation rights and hand over to a more active member and one that still owns the car, I would live to hear more from insy and Roberto 2 top chaps who are very passionate about the marque.

I do feel this club needs updating to be more structured, I also feel that if you are going to pay a fee to be a full member then there should be a area for full members as most people will just not bother becoming a member and still get scarifying they need for free. Thus this is killing the club as without funding we cannot move forward and that's something this club needs desperately!

I have met many members and being a very active member for more than 5 years now I have seen the decline over the last year, but we need to move with the time or we will sink.

I also echo will that this member who got this stuff free and selling it at a profit is desicable!

I would still like to see this club evolve and move on, we need more sections to deal with other hobbies like model making, cycling, and make it more family orientated also keeping more members as active paying members.

If we had more funding we could be a club that could save old marea's bravo/a if it's a mot failure perhaps we could get it through for long standing members (it's something that the mondeo owners club does aswell as the probe owners club) and perhaps we could have a stock of spare parts to help people out, any freebies given to the club should be kept and given away for the p&p costs every little helps.

But we do news to evolve or this club will cease to exist as we know it and I for 1 really do not want this to happen.

Simon, as you are well aware this is old ground, that i have covered with you in numerous other threads, i couldn't care less what you do with it TBH but just think your actions were wrong, yes i did want it but it aint no biggy, if i did have it and decided not to fit it then i would of happily donated it, i would not make any money out of it like you are doing, hence my thread about freebies for a donation to the club which i am giving away as long as there is a donation to the club.

Also i did not mention any names as to not point the finger directly at you but you have done that yourself now.

You are also aware that i am not the only one who is against what you did in fact i remember numerous amounts of people being completely against your actions, and if you want to be part of a club and make decent like minded mates that will help you out when you need it i would stop alienating people like you are and again i was not the first person to mention it in this thread so why you feel the need to point the finger at me and only me i do not know!!

as said in the earlier post that any donations of spare parts to the club, i have alot of storage that i could store parts in, and i would be more than happy for any of the member to collect directly from me (for large parts) or smaller items i could post out for the cost of the P&P i use to have alot of spare parts but i have given them all away incl full bumpers etc etc

Will this place needs more members like you!

The mini scene is huge Will, let's face it they have a clut following and thousands of fans the world over. I know I was one of them!

This forum will get less and less traffic, I found myself using fiat forum a lot last year but always come back to boo. while I don't own a fiat anymore I still look and help where I can. While its still running and online I will contiue to visit. I hope you do too.

Also Simon, Robin was not having a dig at you about the bumper, Robin has long said that he believes in giving stuff away to members especially come MOT time or if we had a club fund we could help out dying members cars.

This place needs more people like robin and Will.

just so you know I'm sure there are a lot of people (myself included) that could have got that bumper and sold it on, hey 80-100 quid for me driving to brum, less than 10 miles for me, would have been a nice bit of arse pocket money BUT as it was being given away free I felt it would have somewhat took the pi$$.

Saying that, I really should get on and fix the bravo - only 4 months untill it's back on the road for the summer show season!!!



Hopefully it will turn up to more shows this year - be nice to see a few more of you lot there also!!


And maybe - just maybe - there will be a Karting meet... just depends if I can keep a job long enough to afford to run it, and yes - it does run a loss to put on an event but im so happy to see you lot having fun, I don't mind paying out of my own pocket.
