General Real leather or not??

On the 'leather seat' option the sides and top are not real leather ('Ambience') but the middle bit is classed as leather.

Actually, the only part of the seat that is not leather is the head restraints, which are the same plastic regardless of upholstery choice.

The 'Ambience' on 500 refers to the colour of the head restraints, steering wheel, audio controls and heater controls, not the material that anything is made from.

On 500 Sport there are 4 upholstery choices:

Grey-Black Cloth
Grey-Brown Cloth
Black Leather
Red Leather

All come with Black Ambience.

My Sport has Fabric in the middle and backrest and then 'leather' on the squabs in that case. We were told the Sport came with half leather seats and I assumed this is what they are.

No, it's leatherette.

To sum up, it doesn't feel much like real leather but is still rather nice. See my pic on the first page of this thread for the close up of the material.

At the first Fiat Dealer I went to, the female salesperson told me the Sport had 1/2 leather. I didn't correct her, but I knew she was wrong. Because of this and certain attitude issues, I went to another branch of the same dealer to purchase.
