Hi everyone it's been a while, my gp is now 5 1/2 years old, touch wood it's been trouble free until now :-(

When driving on rough / bumpy roads there is a rattle / clunking sound coming from the front right corner of the car sounds like the wheel area, it's fine on smooth roads, it sounds like something is loose, it's quite loud and can be heard easily inside the car

I have searched the forums and it seems to be pointing towards the drop links so I googled a picture of one as I don't know cars that well, I have given then both a wiggle and they feel solid although there is a minuscule amount of play in the right one hardly anything really

Would appreciate any feed back?? If I go to my fiat dealer will they charge for having a look?

Thanks in advance :)

There is like a fraction of a mm play in the right one, the rattle sounds worse than what that could create, and no I have no tools and would rather not so it myself tbh lol

It sounds like a similar problem that I had. When there were rough sections of road the noise appeared but not if you hit a bump. The car was still under warranty and the dealer replaced what they said was a bearing at the top of the strut. They replaced both sides. That is the closest I can come to answering what they did.

Thanks for your replies, i'm booked in at my dealer tomorrow for a road test, a guy is going to come with me in the car to listen to the noise, they said they would have a look on the ramp also, even better there not going to charge for this

I hope they can find the cause and the quote isn't too bad

Thanks again
