Hi ! :)

i have a big Problem with my Fiat Bravo 198 MJET 8V 120HP from 2008.
Last Week i let change the Clutch, Bearing and two mass flywheel because
at 180000 Kilometers the clutch was worn out.
The workshop who did it used the Orginal Fiat Parts from Valeo and
new Gear oil and the Engine oil.

Since then my car shifts fine but if i press the Gear Pedal down and
the Engine has aprox 1700 and above rpm i hear a rattling sound (File
with recorded Sound zip attached). The sound gets louder if i increase the
rpm.

This Sound stays until i let the Pedal go or if the Rpm goes under 1600
rpm. It is present after pressing the Pedal in Neutral and in every Gear.

The Noise is only present in the Inside of the car - if i Open the
Engine Hood its not hearable.

The Workshop dosent have a Clue that it is - they have checkt all screws
and covers and the Sound stays.

They say i can drive wtih this but i think it could get worse ...

Had anybody an idea what this can be ?

And sorry for the bad englisch - i am from Germany .;)..

thanks !:worship:

At first i was expecting to hear a boost leak, or a heat shield... but no.. this sounds more like something (maybe the flywheel?) is unbalanced.

Not really clear from your description:
"This Sound stays until i let the Pedal go or if the Rpm goes under 1600
rpm. It is present after pressing the Pedal in Neutral and in every Gear."

Are you saying you can hear the noise only when pressing the accelerator?.. so no noise while engine braking from 3500 rpm?
If that's the case.. i'd say it's an exhaust leak... could be from a broken exhaust manifold bolt, or could be from further down the exhaust.. where they needed to disconnect it to replace the clutch... these kinds of noises are usually detectable under load.... and almost unheard-of to hear them at low engine rpm.

It could also be that one of your engine mounts is gone.. or somehow tightened crooked.

thanks for the answer,

the sound is by pressing the Clutchpedal in warm Condition at Rpm above 1600-1700.
It stays by pressing the Pedal and holding the Engine above 1600 Rpm.
If i let go of the gaspedal (Enginebrake) it stays so long till its droping below
1700-1600.
I could explain not better ... its a strange thing.
eg. Drive at 100 Kmh in 5. Gear at rpm 2000, pressing Clutchpedal -Rattel,
Rattel - the Motorbrake kicks the rpm down under 1600 - silence, shift in
4. Gear - relising the Pedal no rattel Sound.
or
Car stands still, Engine is on, press Gaspedal and holding it by 2000 rpm,
press Clutch Pedal and holding it - Rattel Rattel until i let go of the gas Pedal
and it drops under 1600 or realising the Clutch Pedal (also no Rattel).

Its only then Clutchpedal is pressed - no matter if the Car is driving or
standing still using Neutral Gear.

By the Way - the Clutchpedal has no vibrations then i press it.

Exhaust Noise : Should it not Sound every Time it goes over the 1600 Rpm - but it is only then i press the
Clutch Pedal.
Flyweehl could be - but is is new. If it is - can i let it so ?

the mounts are all ok (says the workshop Master)

OK...after this explanation now i'd say the problem is definitely in the clutch assembly.

I have found the Error - it was the two mass flyweehl. In the new one that was build in is something broken in the Inside. The Shop has changed it with a another one and
now its fine and no rattling.
