Technical Rapid Inidicators - Stalk or Connections

My son's Grande Punto (2007) does a rapid random set of 3-4 clicks/flashes when indicating left or right before settling down to a normal flashing pattern. Does this seem to be more likely a stalk issue or do I need to go through all the connections and clean them up? Just wondering if anyone has had similar.

later cars do a Lanechanger 5 flashes

Its possible its related to that

Options..

Stalk..body module.. wiring fault

So.. no odd bulbs.. checked taillight connectors??

Get someone to view the car at the back, take a video or use a mirror/window

Ignition on
Press the brake pedal

Indicate left then right a few times

Does the brake lights change in brightness


Be better if it failed while being tested

Thanks for the suggestions. I'll give it a try when my lad gets home. It's an 07 and doesn't have the lane change 5 flashes. It's either on or off I think.

If all else fails, check all the bulbs are seated properly and the connectors clean and all associated earths

Fusebox full of water..

AFAIK there is no Flasher Relay.. its all managed
