Rant about car lights

driving back over the m62 tonight, heavy fog - proper use of foglights. I did see a corsa with no rear lights at all. None. Foggy and not so much as one rear light. How the hell can people drive like that?

Once the fog cleared i overtook someone who had his front fogs on, so i put my rear back on and he turned his front off, so i turned the rear off. Then he put them back, so did i, and then he turned them, so did i. Did that a few times, i giggled and i guess he was giggling too!

You're lucky arc, whenever I did that they seemed to want me dead, dunno why?! Would love a little fog light humour like that.

Helena, what you said is right, in built up areas sidelights are the only requirement (be seen, not needed to see)

but the headlights are still suposed to work even if they are not used, unles they broke whilst on you jorney.
ie sorry officer i checked my headlights before i left and they was working fine, i'll fix them as soon as i arive at my desternation (sp)

The headlights are one of the few parts of my car that actually work as they are meant to..

But on an aside I saw I guy being pulled over by the fuzz on the grounds he had his front fogs on! I would have got a picture, but he turned his lights off as I got my phone out!
