Can't believe Moyles lasted as long as he did to be honest. Although I do prefer morning radio to be a bit more gentle as opposed to the loud shouty approach that is Radio 1 in general.
I still miss Terry Wogan from Radio 2, but don't tell anyone - it'd damage my street cred, if I had any.
Also, as Dom said, Peak FM is a good option.
I just hope Moyles doesn't feel compelled to shove his fat ugly annoying mug all over the TV now

I fall into the hate him category, the big issue is if they replace him with scott mills who I hate more, I find them both so obnoxious and full of their own self importance, must admit I prefer radio 2 or radio 4 for the comedy
they should get some one who plays more music instead of all the chat crap that goes on atm, i want radio to keep me awake not send me to sleep

When Moyles first started the breakfast show I was glued to my radio. But about 2 years ago I lost complete interest.. As they say the average age of the listener for the show is rising.
Though I would have prefered their appointment of Greg James, I just find Nick Grimshaw boring so will be sticking to my Hirsty's daily dose on Capital Yorkshire

Im happy with the local stations with Real Radio and Radio Aire.
They do me for work/uni. and if im travelling out of yorkshire i tend to use the iPod for music

Same. I listened to the radio on the way to going on duty recently, just under 15 miles, took me about 30 minutes, I could count the songs played on one hand, rest was news and 'funny stories'.
Would have put my CD on, but wasn't in the mood for anything in there lol.
Dom! How can you like Capital!? They only play 8 songs on repeat all day, all of which are generic boring pop!

They have to pay copyright to play the songs hence they play same ones over and over again throughout the day.............either that or they only have NOW78 cd and nothing else?
