Tuning Radiator Fan

Hi,

The radiator fan on my 2003 punto has packed in. Its the 1.2 petrol punto, new model that came out in 03.

The fiat dealer tells me there are 2 possible radiator fans, a denzo/morrelli (£118+vat)or a valeo (£89+vat). apparently you have to change like for like. Does anyone know if this is the case? A local parts dealer offered me a part cheaper than both of the above, which is obviously more tempting!

Anyone got any advice?

Hi, dont know which is correct part, but i imagine 1 fan is for cars with aircon, the other is for cars without.

Look for the words "Magnetti Marelli", "Denso" or "Valeo" on the fan support?

That's what Tech's do.

If you want to fit the cheaper option, your best bet is to remove yours and take it to your parts dealer and see if the mountings match-up.

Try looking on Shop4Parts as they have pics on their site for each model with aircon or without, make of fan should be on the motor housing.
