A really simple question. Opening up the fuse and relay box in the motorbay, on the inside of the cover there are names and symbols for the relays. Which on is aimed for the cooling fan for the radiator, the one with a fan symbol, or the one named FAN1? A little confused.

Model
188 Punto
Year
2001

From the owners manual (https://www.fiat-lancia.org.rs/Manuals/Punto_mk.2b.pdf ) , it says:
F06 is for the Radiator fan (1st speed)
and
F07 is for the radiator fan (second speed)
It also states F18 is for the engine cooling system fan

(This goes on to say it's for the 1.2/8valve version with manual climate control)

Not sure about the relay symbols because they aren't mentioned, but I'd guess the one saying Fan1 is for the first speed?

You could perhaps get the engine up to temp, when the fan is running and pull either relay?
Or maybe one is for the cabin blower fan?, again easy to check.

I’ll go for FAN1 relay.
