Hello,

I have a 2009 grande and recently the interior fan completely stopped working on all settings. For some reason when I went under the glove box to have a look, I found that by pulling the wires that connect both the fan and the resistor, it would turn on, and then off again when I let go.

I have no idea what was happening and tried to just tie the wires to the tension point but it did not work. However when I took the resistor out to take a look at it, it looked like this *check image attached*, obviously this is an issue which I will replace, but would this sound like the cause of my blower issues?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Often once the resistors in the resistor burn out you just get high speed fan only. On my car I started getting on/off on setting 3 which would change if i moved the wiring. . The cause was the plug part of the connector getting very hot and the copper bending. The female metal connector just had to be crimped a bit so it pushed together more securely onto the male connector or maybe I opened up the male connector a bit. I did that about 5 years ago and it has not come back.
