General rad removal

how easy to remove the radiator cinq sporting? I have had a look but cant even see where its fixed on!

do I have to take the bumper off?

The rad is secured by two 8mm bolts into the slam panel. The other end is an interference fit into the upright, no bolts at all.

No need to remove bumper, although it helps.

looking in my porter manual, it doesnt even tell you how to remove the rad!!

It's just as rallycinq says: the fan is bolted to the rad, the rad has one bracket to the slam panel which needs to be removed (where the top hose is). Then it should pop out. I know, it's too bloody simple!

I tried to copy over the pages from the Sei manual, but it's gobbling up too much memory for Mr Gates crappy OS to handle.

before you drop the rad, tie some string to the bleed hose that comes up through the inner wing - else you'll never get it fed back up.

Unplug the fan before you start too.

Or disconnect the bleed hose from the rad before pulling the bleed hose through the wing.

Also unplug the temp sensor too.

ive just had to take mine off at the bodyshop. i had some one hit my front end and crush the radiator against the heat shield. they should be the same or very similar on a cinq sporting. i had to fit a new front panel aswell tho what a nightmare

rad is a **** of a job i found haha, a bird hit mine. or shall i say i hit a bird and it punctured it :-(. never took the bumper off and it was annoying, acidently ripped foglamp wire too. just need to be carfull and take your time with it.

however if i had to od it again id remove bumper haha
