Technical Quick wheel bolt question

Whats the head size of standard mk2b alloy wheel bolts ? Looking to buy some bolt covers but need to know the size.

i would go and measure my own bolts but my car is at the bodyshop having some work done .

19mm. Be careful though as I got some and couldn't get them back out as the gap between the bolt and the rim was too narrow to get a tool in there. Had to break it to get it back off to get the bolt out.

Thank you , i'll have to see which ones to get then , which ones did you get, so i know what to avoid.

Also, what did you use to cover the locking wheel nut ? as this is round isnt it ?

i did ponder about such wheel covers

But never did get them
partly because my wheel bolts are 17mm, and its a close fit already, let alone a plastic cover which i can see will never come off conviently

My wheels are 17mm as well....! I always thought they were 19 till tried then yesterday!

just to add to this........
my wheel bolts are also 17mm:devil:
although i do have the odd 18mm bolts on my wheels, i dont know why but i guess its a sort of deterrent for thieves if they only come with a 17mm socket

Well that's odd, I just presumed as they were all M12x1.25 they'd all have a 19mm head. You learn something new everyday!
