General quick non-stilo specific heated seat question.

Guys

Does anyone know if, in general, seat heating elements are self regulating ??

I'm thinking of fitting some to a classic mini and wondered if I needed any fancy electronic controllers, or if it's just a 12v connection.

Sorry for off topic question, but would appreciate the local wisdom !!

Oh, ok. Is that common for all brands or just our favourite Italian models ?? I bet the controllers cost about 10 times as much as the heating element though !!

Just thinking out loud at the moment, was thinking it could be a boon for classics like Mini's, MG's etc if it was an easy retrofit !!

Im not sure about other brands. I imagine alfa will be the same.

My passenger heated seat died and Fiat wanted about 300 for some bit of loom. I think the controllers are expensive because they also control thet the airbag components, as the seats have these built in.

I definitely think its a good idea. Hope you find what you're looking for
