Technical Punto stop start issues

Hello, we have a 2010 Punto evo 1.4. It’s recently been serviced and passed its mot. We have the ‘stop start unavailable’ message on the dash and every now and then the car pulls back when driving and jolts which is a tad unnerving to say the least! We broke down the other day and had it fixed by the AA and then at our local garage who replaced two sensors and had a stop start battery fitted which we thought would solve the issue but it’s back. Any help would be appreciated

Battery to Chassis to gearbox

That's the main Earth circuit.. And they can fail internally.. The copper strands turning to a green paste
(mushy peas are a poor conductor of electricity.. Apparently)
