Technical Third stop not working

Just bought my first car (2011 1.6mj evo), third stop decided it didn’t want to work anymore.

Replaced bulbs, nothing.

Bought a brand new third stop, nothing…

Any ideas?

Not to worry most of us aren't, but in the future don't spend any money until you come on this forum and ask questions, there are top people here who can get you straight and even possibly save you money. Don't even go to a dealership or independent garage until you ask questions here.

If the other brake lights work, then it is not a blown fuse. Only thing that is left, is the usual suspect, broken cable inside the rubber boot of the back door. I'd start from there. The one near F040.

Broken cable as in actually broken? Cause when I replaced the third stop the cable looked fine from what I could see, but couldn’t see much.

The break happens inside the rubber boot, not on the connector.
