Punto peeling lacquer

May I ask please, the clear lacquer on the lads 2010 1.2 8 valve Punto Evo, what type is it please ?

It's peeling off the white paint in areas and getting worse.

I am hoping a rattle can version of the clear lacquer is available. The colour coat is white.

All help greatly appreciated.

You can certtainly buy laquer. To be sure I would go to an automotive paint factor and take the car and ask them you will then get the right stuff. Its a really difficult thing to stop once its started. Im sure you can make things look better though. Best of luck

The factory lacquer will be a two part paint that you won’t be able to get in rattle cans….. well there are some systems for two part paints in spray cans but they’re very expensive £50+ per can

You can’t just spray over the peeling paint, best to either leave it or with pockets full of money visit the nearest independent body shop
