Technical Punto mk2 Keyless entry

Hi guys, I know there are countless posts on this subject but no one seems to have specified what is the "common wire" and were should these wires be spliced

Currently i have connected the following

Black to earth
Red to 12v live
Brown to black connector pin 34
Yellow to black connector pin 24

Purple to grey connector pin 3 and 12

When i press the lock/unlock button the central box is making a clicking sound the the indicator lights bleep but there is no locking/unlocking movement.

I am following diagram number one in the attached picture

Any assistance is much appreciated

depends which kit u got but it isnt that hard

this is what worked for my kit

white to white&green = close
white&black to blue = open
red to ignition red
black, yellow, yellow&black to -

The unlock and lock should be connected fine (brown and yellow in the keyless loom)

I have seen those guides and it seems they all have different looms than me and they don't specify what is the "common wire" in my case it the yellow/black and blue from the keyless loom,

you need to connect 3 wires to - , black, yellow, yellow&black

Yellow is currently connected to the unlock(pin 24)

I have tried connecting the yellow/black and blue to the earth but it still won't work

Yes it did finally I connected yellow/black, blue and black all to the earth and it worked. Although i tried this previously and it didn't.

For some reason "common line" means earth.

interesting, in your kit one of negative wires is blue
