i thought after having a 2.0 nova and go for one of theses. i brought it as a none runner as the turbo and headgakset was gone and loads of other things gone on it.
i now got the engine running which i now is running stage 2 tuned. its cammed s/s straight throw evo front mount t25 garrett turbo fse regulater chipped and much much more.

the colours faded so im gunna polish it when i get around it lol. the only reason why i went for that intercooler was because no one else done it so i thought il be diffrent.
It looks a bit precarious where it is, avoid speed humps and high kerbs. Yes, I like the colour, certainly better than my car, which is currently beige since it needs a wash.
any1 else got any idea what i should do to it next. im order my 270cc injecters and 255 walbro feul pump next week so it shoud be going even better :slayer:since i had it i done this to it:

and theres props more i havnt sed. i also had the head stripped and rebuilt with all new gaskets the all vavles been reseated.
been told this would be stage 2 but not 100% sure. any1 got any sort of idea what bhp this would be befor i put it on a rolling road?
the intercooler doesnt look that bad. the pics dont do it justice but now its cleaned up and moved straight, it dont look that bad now looks better then wot it does in the pic.
ive came across a problem, every time i connect the vacum hose for the dump i rev it and the revs drop down really low and sumtimes cut out? but if i leave it of and block it up and run waste gate noise its fine. i tryed 3 diffrent dump valves on there and there all the same but work fine on othercars. any1 help?
sorry to but in but you dont hav a standard turbo rite,well my gt hasnt had a turbo at all and im thinking it wil need 1 soon! so if it needs replacing how do u now wot one will fit and wot sorta prices are they? also would getting a diferent turbo mean the ecu wouldnt recognize it??
The ECU wont care about the turbo as long as the manifold pressure is within the limits it expects to see. There's no point in fitting a bigger turbo without a new ECU and throttle body intercooler and inlet manifold.
Over boosting will cause the ECU to cut the fuel flow and a big turbo just gives more turbo lag. Standard size turbos are usually more than big enough for the job.
