ok after looking around more and having no luck is this just the ordinary new grande punto where the dealer has just added wheels and window tints and made up a new model ??:confused:
does anyone have any pictures of there standard new grande punto with the model number etc - and anyone know any places at this type of price with the 5 0% finance - im not having much luck

Hi I work for Arnie's fiat franchise in kirkcaldy its just a 1.2 tarted up a bit. They are delivered to us as bottom of the range cars with steel wheels, then they put alloys tints and a sticker on it and pass it off as a new funky model.

They are not Irish. They are UK cars. We have a load at the Car People too. We buy them from the fleet companies we buy other cars from. They buyin bulk for their fleets, thus huge discounts, they buy too many, we take a few, and pass the discounts on to customers. Even if they were Irish, it wouldn't matter. FIAT's have a European warranty and it is not as though the ones sent to other countires are built by chimps instead. lol. The cars will be pre-reg though (ie, one owner on the logbook, but never used).

In general, the car industry paints a negative picture of imports, but that because franchise dealers hate you buying the same car for cheaper elsewhere. We stock a lot of brand newRenaults and Harratts down the road from us hate it because we undercut them by several thousands of pounds.

Sorry, when did I say they were ???? Your cars may be UK but the really good deal sites do sometimes have Irish cars and you must be careful, if you do not get Air con it will be a pain in summer , and a bigger pain at trade in time.

In my opinion it is better to go to FiatSupasaver or get your local dealer to match their price, mine did.
Cuts all the potential crap right out.

I bought mine from MotorPoint in Derby a month ago. 56-reg 1.2 8v GP in Crossover Black for £6699. Had only delivery milage and 1 registered owner which actually was a Fiat dealership. It's the standard UK car as well.

For the 3rd year dealer warranty I had to send off a registration card that came with the car and that took care of that so it's covered like any other new GP. I also could simply change the registration into my name for the Security code etched into the windows at no charge.

I also already needed some minor stuff done under warranty (missing screws, heater fan motor, rattling speaker) and the recall was done as well without any problems or moaning from my local Fiat franchised dealer. After all that's how they earn their money, isn't it?

Overall I cannot see any problems with buying from a Car-Supermarket type place. I certainly would do it again especially seeing how much I saved on list price.
