Hi,

New guy so apologies if this is asked and answered before. My 1200 Punto (51 plate) will start normally from cold, will run OK, slightly lumpy, but if I drive for a while (>10 minutes ish) and get the engine properly warned up then stop the car, it won;t restart. If I apply power direct to the starter then it will start OK, as will it if I bump start he car downhil. I have changed the battery so I'm sure it's not a supply issue there, so could use some advice...

i'd be looking at a crank sensor possibly

As when its warm and wont restart its usually that sensor thats failed
it often means the car would cut out for no reason

But if it starts when bumped - it makes no sense - as the crank sensor still needs to see the phlonic wheel signal secion
