Hi cant find instructions for my power converter, are they ok to cover (ie put under my back seats) of do they get too hot?

the heat will depend on how much power you are pulling, but you should allow an ai gap. mine has a fan and specifies in the instructions to leave a certain air gap.

also check the instructions, there will be a thermal cut off, try it where you want it and see if it cuts out ;)

cheers Al can't find the instructions, will try the thermal cut off thing in the morning, its just to power my PS2 its not a big converter

Might be worth trying to add a couple of fans to circulate the air a bit better.

remember it's a tempeature thing, it might not cut out today, but in the middle of summer you may get problems.

Remember, Dogs die in hot cars!

see how hot it feels.

Avoid the burn...

As above really...see how hot it gets, it shouldn't harm it, just cut out.

Something that might be of interest to you, i did have a thermal sensor relay cuircit from maplins, you can set the temperature to what you want and when it hits the sey temp it opens the relay. I have it installed next to my amp, so if it gets hot, the relay opens and starts up my fans and cools my amp.
